About VisaTrackr
What it measures
Once IRCC approves a Canadian visa, it asks for your passport. You hand it in at a VFS centre, the visa office puts the visa in, and VFS sends it back. Nobody publishes how long that takes. This site measures it, for each of the ten VFS centres in India, from the day you hand the passport in to the day it is sent back.
Where the numbers come from
VFS sends couriered passports back by Blue Dart, and Blue Dart's public tracking shows when each one was picked up. Every morning we read those records for the Canada passports VFS India sends, about a third of all of them (the rest are collected in person). We count, for each hand-in date, how many are back and when. We never read or store names.
Who runs it
The team behind the Schengen visa tracker, which does the same for Schengen visas. It is free and independent: not connected to IRCC, the Government of Canada, VFS Global or Blue Dart. Questions or corrections: [email protected].
